Weekend Travel Essentials

Weekend luggage

Over the weekend Ted and I spent some time at a friend’s lake house and then headed to a wedding. It was a good time and I’m always surprised by how much “fun” you can fit into three days when you want to. While traveling, I shared some insta-stories of my weekend travel essentials and got so many questions and compliments. For this week’s post, I figured I’d whip up a quick blog post to share what I love. Read one for more!

The Mason Weekender Bag

Ted gave me this bag for Christmas a few years ago and it is my favorite! It’s from Sole Society and currently on sale! Firstly, I love the cognac color. If you know me you know that I love brown. All my accessories (shoes, bags, coats) are probably brown and this bag is no different 🙂 But if you don’t like brown this bag comes in a ton of other colors.

The bag is roomy enough for a weekend trip, and sturdy considering I tend to stuff it to max capacity. No fraying of the straps, no ripped faux leather, and the zipper is strong. But the real thing that sold me on this bag was the separate shoe compartment at the bottom. I don’t have to worry about putting my shoes on my clothes or makeup. Even better, I don’t have to lug my shoes around in plastic bags anymore. Sold.

Target Toiletry Bag

In the past I shared what’s in my travel make up bag but with this new bag from Target, I can pack my skincare and everything else in one organized kit.I That’s why I love this bag ! I was sick of packing three or four smaller toiletry bags and then digging around for that specific cream or blush. With this everything is in one place and neatly organized. It fit with my neutral style and I love that I can hang it up too.

I can’t attest to its sturdiness yet as it’s only had one trip with me, but I think this will last me a while.

Vlando Travel Jewelry Case

Because we were headed to a wedding I brought more jewelry with me than I usually do on trips. I bought this Vlando faux leather jewelry box from Amazon last Christmas. It was $10.99 – that’s it! It’s such good quality for the price. I feel much more adult with all of jewelry taken care of instead of in small Ziploc bags.
