My Travel Makeup Bag

Travel Makeup Bag | www.mypetitejoys.com

I am no stranger to travel and have picked up quite a few tips and tricks over the years. I can usually pack a suitcase at a moment’s notice and love getting ready for my next adventure.

When I travel, I prefer carry on’s and backpacks so packing light is key for me. Only the essentials come with, so today I’m sharing what’s in my travel makeup bag. These goodies won’t require any brushes, are compact, and easy to apply with just your fingers – perfect for on the go!

What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag?
Bobbi Brown Corrector – Light Bisque

I discovered this corrector last Winter and have loved it ever since. It’s tiny, compact, and comes with a small mirror that is perfect for travel.

Benefit Cheek & Lip Stain in Rose

This is one of my favorite products because it gives your lips and cheeks a very natural looking flush. When traveling I tend to use it as a lip stain and sometimes dab some on my cheeks for extra color.

Rms Beauty Lip2Cheek in Spell

This is my newest blush and I’m loving it. Its not too pink and gives a bit of a bronzed, rose look that works with my skin tone. It also has enough brown in it that it makes for a good eye shadow too.

Revlon Photo Ready Skinlights – in Pink Light

This is such a natural and easy to apply highlighter. I mix some in with my morning moisturizer and then dab some more on my cheeks after I finish applying all my makeup.

Maybelline Full’N Soft Mascara

I’ve been using this mascara since high school. I’ve tried others and this is one that I always go back to.

Rimmel Gel Eye Liner in Copper Bling

I don’t like to use black eyeliner because it looks too harsh for everyday looks. Instead I like this deep brown eyeliner. Though the color says “copper” it doesn’t have any red undertones (at least for me) and gives a bit more natural, subtle look. It also doesn’t require a sharpener and rolls up – which is perfect for travel.

Smith’s Rosebud Salve

This is my favorite lip balm and can even double as a mid day highlighter. I’m also a sucker for the packaging, I love the vintage looking tin.

7days Mask in Green Tea

I always travel with a few face masks thrown into my makeup bag. I use these the night after a long flight since they dry out my skin. These masks are light and take up hardly any space so there’s no excuse to not put one in your bag.

Lavender Essential Oil

I’m very into aromatherapy and always travel with lavender and peppermint oil in my travel bag. I love to use the lavender not only for its calming benefits but also as a perfume when traveling. Peppermint is good for calming, headaches, and cooling off since the menthol gives a refreshed feeling.

Small Mirror

This mirror was given to me by a good friend. She is a lover of travel like me and I’ve been using it in my travel makeup bag ever since receiving it. I love it!

Makeup Bag

For those of you wondering my travel make up bag is by Patricia Nash – its leather and I love it for its size. It can be folded in half or used as a pouch. I usually can fit both my makeup and skincare products in here which makes it extremely convenient when traveling. Since its leather it will last me for years to come ! I got it at Marshall’s and would recommend looking for a good makeup bag there since they are way more affordable than buying the full price option.
